Who We Are

Peter Kuehnel grew up on a farm in Wisconsin with 15 siblings - 2 bio-brothers and 13 adopted brothers and sisters, from all around the world. After his graduation from UW-Madison with a BA in History, he attended one year at UW Law School before spending the next couple of years traveling the world, living in Tokyo, Paris, and New York before settling in Chicago.

The Chicago photography business was booming, and the time was ripe to become an artists’ representative, beginning with fashion photographers. More than 25 years later, after working with fantastic talents ranging from photographers to production companies, directors, VF/X artists, animators, and musicians, he's still at it here at Brainsell.

Peter continued his education during this time, graduating from Skip Barber’s Advanced Racing School at the top of his class, completing Improv Levels A-E at Second City, and getting his Illinois Managing Broker’s Real Estate License. He’s a fur daddy to Mimi the Model Cat (follow her on Instagram), an avid SCUBA diver, and spends his spare time cooking, traveling, cycling around Evanston, or doing Les Mills Body Pump™ with his sweetheart. The high point of his life was probably when his New Zealand White rabbit won the Grand Champion ribbon at the Milwaukee County 4-H Fair.
